Bananas are so delicious that you can eat it in so many ways. You can make desserts out of ripe bananas, or make it a main dish like other parts of the world do. In general, it is abundant and it is one of the most common fruits in the world. We can see and buy it anywhere, and it is always cheap and affordable. With this, we end up buying many but not being able to consume all – causing over-ripe bananas to be thrown. The good news is, there are quite a few recipes that could use up over-ripe bananas, and take note – all are insanely delicious.
Banana smoothie with hazelnuts and honey
Need not to worry about throwing up over-ripe bananas as we will prepare a smoothie that no one will notice the bananas used are over-ripe. Start off by preparing these secret ingredients; soya milk, honey, grated nutmeg, and toasted hazelnuts. Blend the over-ripe bananas with the soya milk, honey, and nutmeg until it becomes smooth. Then, pour it into glasses and sprinkle it with toasted, chopped hazelnuts. Serve and enjoy.
Baked bananas with chocolates and ice cream
This warm and cool recipe will make you forget that you used over-ripe bananas as ingredients. To start, heat the oven for about 180-200C. Slit the bananas in the middle, but make sure you don’t slit through the edges and slit only half its layer. Insert chocolates as much as you could fit in inside the slit and seal the bananas with a foil. Cook it for about 25 minutes, then prepare an ice cream as a side dish. Make sure you don’t waste even a little of the melted chocolates! – Should incredibly taste great.

Why look for ice cream under the soaring heat of the sun if you can simply make your own using over-ripe bananas? Just simply pop over-ripe bananas on a flat tray, and then freeze for a few hours. Then, place the bananas in a food processor and whizz while also adding milk until it becomes smooth. Finally, add some chocolate sauce and other preferred goodies such as nuts, chocolate bits, etc.
